Domaine Pernot Père & Fils
Taking over the family domaine in 2018, Pascal Pernot quickly gained respect and admiration as a top Gevrey-Chambertin producer. Pascal’s great grandfather was chauffeur to the Liégard family of the Château de Brochon and subsequently inherited some vineyards (including the holding in La Croix Violette). The Domaine was established in 1900, with Pascal as the fourth generation, and surrounds the village of Brochon with a total of 7 ha.
With the vines in the family name for a century, Pascal was destined to work the vines. First beginning his working life at Manuel Olivier in Concœur, where he learnt the trade and the skills to finesse wines worthy of the Burgundy appellations. With big plans in motion from the day he took over, he works towards having his whole range grown and bottled at the domaine, elevating the quality even further.
Located between the Premier Crus under the Côte Saint Jacques to the north and the Route des Grands Crus which marks one side of its perimeter to the south. The position of Pernot Pere et Fils is strategic, sitting on the middle of a hill, with minimum slope and about 300 meters elevation.
